University of South Alabama - International Student Page
Bishop State Community College - A community college in Mobile that offers core classes at a discount
Faulkner State - Another community college that is further away from south, but offers correspondence classes
University of Mobile - A Christian University in the Mobile area. Tuition is a good bit higher than USA, but it has a good academic program and small class sizes.
City of Mobile Visitors Bureau - Official site for visitors of Mobile. It has information on many activities one can do once in Mobile
The Wave Transit - The public bus system in Mobile. The system is not the greatest, but in a pinch it can get you to where you need to go. Bus trips cost $1.25 each, but you can purchase a 1 day pass for $3.
Mobile Regional Airport - Their website is a good source of information about transportation in the city. Also, you can reserve a ride in the airport shuttle to the University for $12.
Livery Cab & Sedan Service - Charge 1.50 per mile (no negotiation). From the airport to USA will cost about $9.00 (6 miles).
All jobs that put you in contact with food requires a Alabama food handlers license. You can get that by pay
Alabama Food Handlers - Online course costs $30. (If you have taken the online course, let me know how it went. )
Mobile Health Department - $15 for the course and certification. It takes about 45 minutes. You need to arive 15 minutes earlier. They cannot let you in if you are late!: Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30 am, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm (as of March 2, 2007). Directions
